THE PICTURESTRIP

This is a new theory in psychology. According to Koestler, all landmark theories are presented in picture-strip format (right-left integration) to bring on the “aha” experience of the formula (the characteristic of all new paradigms). The picturestrip instrument has been proven by neurophysiologists to be the superior tool for insight (Pribram, Stanford). Chromo-Symmetric-Kinostatic Motion: As the pictures connect (by color, composition and texture) to resemble each other, the subject matter goes bananas—varies widely—and the discrepancy brings = INSIGHT. Movies (inferior) = every frame the same. Picturestrips (superior) = every frame radically different though connected visually creating the necessary discrepancy and acting as a hypnotic pushing through cognitive dissonance to acceptance of the NEW THEORY.
